We strive to find the best solution that will make you feel comfortable and help you transition into a cranial prosthesis or hair replacement system that will look and feel natural. You can choose from a synthetic wig or human hair wig.

When having chemotherapy treatments take photos of your style and try to pick out your wig BEFORE your chemotherapy begins. You can also donate your own hair to have a wig made, by cutting your hair into ponytails, if you choose to use our services for a wig or cranial prosthesis, we or your stylist will be able to see your natural hair color and style. You can wear the wig in trial sessions with your own hair.

Wigs come in all styles and colors.
Most women choose synthetic wigs or human blends. They look and feel good, need very little attention and care, and cost much less ($30 to $500).
A wig made of real hair could cost between $800 and $3,000, or more, and it requires more care than you give your own hair. The human is the
best-quality wig and will give you a realistic look. You want one that blends in with your skin tone, the part is not obvious and doesn't look like a bad toupee. Having a custom prosthesis design that is hand tied will feel comfortable that is not with material that is scratchy to your scalp or skin.

Your wig should fit well on your head, which is why it's important to take your wig with you to the hairdresser even when you don't need it yet. Your wig will last 3 months to a year depending on the quality and care you give it, it is important to understand that your wig want last forever but you can repair to help in the care.

Although you may wear your wig almost every day, most keep your wig looking good for as long as possible, give your wig “time off” by using a turban, scarf, or hat. On occasion, have it cleaned and styled by specialty hairdressers.
